The first time Shimizu Keiichi met Hino Kahoko, it was just an innocently disrupted nap by her tripping over him. Most people do, and he had gotten used to it. Such disruption could be fixed after she had apologized and left.

She had smiled, and politely advised him not to doze off where someone, including himself, could get hurt. He had apologized and thanked her, a normal routine. But this time, he dreamed. Dreams were not often, his sleep unconscious slumbers. But he had dreamed of her.

He could see sweet smiles, scarlet hair, and golden eyes. He could hear soft music filling him contently and urging him to close his half-lidded eyes with mellow legatos. He could smell flowers and he could smell her scent, intoxicating and mystically nameless.

And he had awoken to more music, fragile vibratos forcing him to sit up in a trance. He never forgot that sound, and his dreams brimmed with the girl he could not name and the sounds of her violin. When told of her name, he had whispered it under his breath, before closing his eyes.

He had left promptly after the meeting, to return to the grassy sideline of the left wing of the Music Department. And his dreams were soothing as he whispered her name over and over again in breathless murmurs.

Hino Kahoko had become his outlet from stress, his haven. And he didn�ft particularly know her. He fantasized, but never spoke. And in the back of his mind, he knew that he did not want his dreams broken, his ideas shattered because she wasn�ft who he wanted her to be.

So he kept his distance and he dreamed.
