Current Layout - Version 2.2: Kahoko Hino - "Perseverance"

To balance it out, I decided to feature one of the other participants instead. And how I chose Kahoko out of all of them? It was a random draw. I wrote all their names on pieces of paper, crumpled them up, put them in a basket, and just chose one and by pure chance I got her. XD; I suppose in a way it's not a bad thing so I don't feature all the guys first than the girls, so it's more balanced this way. Oddly enough. Unlike when I made the layout with Len, all 26 episodes had aired, so I had a huuuge~ amount of pics to scavenge through.

That drove me nuts to pick and go through all of them and I ended up picking more than 20 pics that I liked, but I somehow just narrowed them down to the ones that are now in the layout. I think this will apply to the rest of the layouts, 2.3 - 2.7, as well since all the episodes are out. What fun... -__-; Besides that, the coloring the manga pics also take a long time per pic. I actually had more trouble coloring her, than with Len. Go figure. Besides the fact that I am a Len fangirl, and I'll gladly admit that, the pics in general were a bit more challenging.

The reason being is that I actually had to edit parts of the pic itself before I could even start coloring. That was the one where she's playing the violin. If you didn't notice in how the other pic, where she's lying on the floor and is holding her violin, the coloring style is different than mine and here's why. I had so~ much trouble coloring it, well the basic colors weren't that hard, but when it came to shading, I just could make it look right. >>; I asked my friend, Aki, to help me fix it and she gladly did so, much to me relief. ^^ Of course, she had to remove some of the original shading, but it came out well, nonetheless. ^^

Like I said, the shading's different than what I do as she tends to do cell style, while I do soft shade, but it's all good. She actually did two versions -- warm and cool (warm was day light and lighter shades, while cool was moonlight and dimmer shades). I ended up choosing the cool version as I was going for a night pic anyway. Thanks soo~ much Aki~! <333 Much love indeed. ^^ Arranging this didn't take as long as Len's either as I had already figured out everyone else's layout formats, so that's pretty much it.

The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the fact that I used shades of red and pink in the layout. I don't mind red, but I hate pink and believe me, if I had made the content/background color a lighter pink, it'd probably make me cry. Not literally, but I'd cringe... definitely. Other than that, I guess I'm satisfied with the end result.
