Here's where the past layouts for this fansite will go.

Version 1.0: Stella Quintet


Type of Layout: Tables with CSS
When was it used: Opening of site (December 4, 2006) - February 21, 2007
Credits: Aethereality [dot] net and Celestial Star [dot] net for brushes, La Corda D'Oro LiveJournal Community and La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~ Offical Anime Site @ KOEI Gamecity for images, and Sam and Yunaura for helping me code this layout.
Info: I originally wanted to make the layout using pics from both the anime and manga versions, but... that didn't work out so well (as I wasn't able to find many pics for them; nor could I find a way to arrange it so that it looked right). I decided then to search around for something else. I eventually found pics of the five main guys who make up the group 'Stella Quintet' and sing the ending song for this series. At first, the scan that I found had a bunch of kanji text on it, so I tried to edit them out since I guess my editing skills were decent. But... I couldn't edit it in a way that would look that I chopped off someone's head. O.o;

I ended up using the pics (of the guys anyway) from the original layout, which I just wrote the kanji and name underneath their pic. As for the rest, just used some brushes for the background and wa~la! ^^ Once I got this idea down, the rest was a piece of cake~!

Version 2.1: Len Tsukimori - "Lone Wolf"

Info: First of seven. From versions 2.1 - 2.7, the layouts will feature one of the concours particpants. This one features pics of Len Tsukimori, which, I'll have to admit is one of my favorite characters so I couldn't resist him being the first participant featured. ^^; All seven will have three main images along with a film strip and will have colors that match; how I arrange it in the later layouts..., is for me to know and for you find out. :P

Anyway, for this layout, the hardest (and most annoying) part was coloring the manga pics. Personally, I haven't colored anything in AGES~ in Photoshop, so this was an interesting experience. XD I think for the two manga pics I colored, they took me around 2 or so hours to color each one. My least favorite part of coloring those pics? The hair and violin. Both, I really had no clue what I was doing when I was shading, so I hope they turned out alright. For someone who hasn't colored anything in so long, these didn't come out so bad.

As for the film strip, the pics are from various episodes and no. They're not in order according to the episodes I got them from; or rather... I hope they're not in order from the episodes that they're from. ^^; After getting all that done, the arranging was the other annoying part. But, as I've already made the outlines for the other 6, the arranging for the others shouldn't take as long. ^^ Overall, I'm happy with the result (especially of the colored manga pics) and of course, I'm happy that the first layout of version 2 features Len. (I'm such a Len fan. XD)
